Western Diocese

On December 17, 2007, the annual Armenian Professional Network Scholarship Distribution Event took place at Armen Hampar Reception Room of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church. This year, 5 outstanding students were chosen for the award. His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese, presided over the event.Â

Arthur Zabunian, Chairman of APN, in his opening remarks praised the selected students, stressing the importance of diligence and hard-work on behalf of the students to merit such awards, as well as the recognition of such outstanding and praiseworthy students by the organizations and the community at large, which would encourage the youngsters to try harder and be successful individuals in the future.

His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese, assisted by Messer Arthur Zabounian, Chairman of APN, and Raffi Kendirjian, APN Treasurer, presented the scholarships, and the gift-packages from the Western Diocese to the following students: Sevag Kazarian from Hovsepian School, Barsegh Barseghian and Lara Armani from Manoogian Demirjian School; Aris Shaklian and Aram Shishikyan from Arshag Dikranian School. One scholarship was also awarded to a young student from the Little Angeles School.

The Primate in his remarks praised the Armenian Professionals Network for the wonderful undertaking, hoping that the number of recipients would increase in the future. He lauded the recipients’ performance as outstanding students; blessed them and hoped that they would become successful individuals in the future both to the benefit of their families and the community at large.
