Western Diocese

Under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, the 3^rd annual Banquet of “Anoushavan Abrahamian Educational Fund” took place at the Kalaydjian Hall of the Western Diocesan Headquarters, on Wednesday, October 24, 2007.

Honorable Bagrat Yesayan, Vice Minister of Education of the Republic of Armenia and Honorable Armen Liloyan, Consul General of the Republic of Armenia attended the event.

Ara Aghishian, esq. welcomed the guests and briefly talked about the history of the “Anoushavan Abrahamian Educational Fund.” During the dinner the present guests enjoyed wonderful performances by Heavenly Chance and Masis Parunyan.

A power point presentation about AAEF by Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Nazeley gave the audience a chance to visually observe the projects and undertakings of the fund. Honorable Armen Liloyan, Consul General of the Republic of Armenia, wished the fund more success in their mission.

His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese in his closing remarks expressed his appreciation to AAEF members for their dedication and fantastic service to the people of Armenia, especially in supporting low-income collage and university students. The Primate also wished the fund more success and enthusiasm in their mission.
