Published on Feb 02 2008 by Divan of the Diocese

When: Feb 16
Time: 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Where: Western Diocese Armenian Church – Hampar Room
3325 N. Glenoaks Blvd.
Burbank, CA 91504

For those of you interested in participating in the Christian Youth Mission to Armenia 2008, we highly recommend that you attend our Feb. 16 Q&A session to express your questions and concerns. We encourage you to bring your parents, so you can together learn about our mission and introduce yourselves to those involved.

At the meeting, CYMA committee members, including CYMA alumni, will discuss the logistics of the trip, including a brief video presentation. Following that, the floor is open to those interested in attending who have any questions about the pilgrimage, internships, day trips, weekend trips, safety, food, city life, and flights. Refreshments will be served.

Applications will be available on the website soon and are due with a $1000 deposit on February 28. The tentative dates for the CYMA 2008 internship are June 18 – August 15, and for the pilgrimage, June 28 – July 16.

We are currently planning an incredible program dedicated to the discovery of each participant’s spiritual and cultural identity. Founded in 2004 as an avenue through which ACYO members and the Armenian youth can experience the Motherland, CYMA serves to unify and strengthen the Armenian community by establishing a bridge between Armenian youth in the diaspora and those in our homeland through participation in the social, religious, professional and cultural life of Hayastan. We hope to share this mission with you, your family, and the Armenian community. As a relatively new organization, CYMA has been extremely successful with its mission in the past four years. In 2007, we sent over 30 members of the Armenian youth to Armenia through the pilgrimage and internship program, many of which will return as CYMA 2008 participants.
