Western Diocese

The first Clergy Conference of this year will be held at St. John Garabed Armenian Church in San Diego from February 12 to 14,  2007  Approximately 30 clergymen will participate in this conference. 

On February 13, at 5:00 p.m. the Feast Day of St. Ghevont the Priest and  his Fellow Clergymen, the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by  His Eminence Archbishop Vatche Hovsepian and the ordination of Jirair Chaderjian as Sub-Deacon.  During the Divine Liturgy, Archbishop Vatche Hovsepian will be honored on the occasion of his 40^th Anniversary of his consecration as a Bishop.  The Encyclical of His Holiness Karekin II will be read on this happy occasion.

Following church services, at 7:00 p.m. a dinner will be held in the church hall and a program dedicated to St. Ghevont and St. Vartan.

Upon the conclusion of the conference at noon on February 14 the clergymen will visit several cemeteries to conduct Requiem Service for our Archpriest Levon Arakelian, Archpriest Shahe Semerdjian, Fr. Sarkis Marselian, as well as all Diocese clergymen of the Western Diocese.
