Clerical Appointments

We gladly inform the Western Diocesan clergy, parish councils, Diocesan representatives, and auxiliary bodies and the faithful people that His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church has made the following appointments of the visiting clergy:

  • On Sunday, October 14, 2007, the Primate celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the City of Camarillo, center to the Ventura County Parish, and then presented the newly appointed parish priest, Rev. Fr. Hovel Ohanyan, to the parishioners.
  • Rev. Fr. Zaven Markosyan, who has been the parish priest of the Sun Valley and parts of North Hollywood, will also serve as the visiting priest of Denver, Colorado and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
  • Rev. Fr. Zachariah Saribekian who has been serving as the pastor of the Scottsdale Parish, Arizona, will also be serving as the visiting priest of the Armenian Church of Tucson, Arizona.
  • Newly appointed parish priest of Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington, Rev. Fr. Zareh Mansuryan was the pastor of St. Kevork Armenian Church of Glendale, California. Fr. Zareh Mansuryan along with his family has already moved to Portland, Oregon.
  • Newly appointed Rev. Fr. Mikael Kyureghyan as the visiting parish priest of the Armenian Church of Las Vegas, Nevada, will continue his service as the pastor of Armenian Church of La Verne, California.
  • Rev. Fr. Yeghia Isayan, the pastor of the Armenian Church, Seattle, Washington, will also serve as the visiting priest to the Armenian Churches of Boise and Hyden, Idaho.
