Western Diocese

It is in mourning that the Western Diocese informs the faithful of the passing of Mr. John Stevens, a well know benefactors of Holy Etchmiadzin, the Western Diocese, and St. Paul Armenian Church of Fresno. He is remembered for his sincere philanthropy toward the benefit of the Republic of Armenia and the Diocese. He was responsible for sponsoring the construction of churches in Armenia as well as a godfather of the Mother Cathedral and a life steward of the Western Diocese. He was recently the recipient of the encyclical by His Holiness Karekin II, the Catholicos of All Armenians and the Medal of St. Gregory the Illuminator. May god bless and keep his soul.
