On Sunday, February 4, 2007, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate, Celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St. Sarkis Armenian Church.  During the Divine Liturgy he ordained Ari Demiral and Adis Badrosian as Deacons. Archbishop Derderian delivered the spiritual message and bestowed upon George Aganalian “The Hye Spirit” Medal of Honor from the Diocese.

The choir was directed by Deacon Stepan Gozumian accompanied by organist  Ovsanna Meghrigian.  Following the Divine Liturgy, the Primate “blessed the madagh.”

Thereafter, in the church hall, a special dinner and program took place.  The Primate Delivered his message, congratulating all those present on this Feast Day and especially Commending Yeretzgin Baizar Matarian for her continued support of Der Hayr and the many services rendered for St. Sarkis Church.
