On July 10, 2007, His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians presided over a highly cordial ceremony on the occasion of the 70^th birthday of His Eminence Archbishop Nerses Bosabalian, at Veharan (Pontiff’s Residence), in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

Vehapar in his remarks on the wonderful occasion mentioned that “in the Soviet times, Clergymen like His Eminence Archbishop Nerses Bosabalian kept the torch of faith of the Holy Etchmiadzin burning. They always raised their prayers under the apses of the Holy Etchmiadzin to the Lord, and because of them the Church did not loose her vitality.”

Under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church, the 70^th anniversary of His Eminence Archbishop Nerses Bosabalian will be commemorated during the night of “Hayordats” Choir and Dance-Troupe performance at the Diocesan Headquarters. The Primate has formed a special committee, headed by the Vicar General of the Western Diocese, the Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardemian, to appropriately organize and execute the commemorative events on the occasion of the 70^th anniversary of the high-ranking guest clergyman, who has served the Armenian Church for many long years.
