Primate’s Pastoral Visit to Sacramento

On February 26, 2008, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian paid a pastoral visit to the St. James Armenian Church in Sacramento, California. In the evening, the Primate met with the Parish Council. The Primate expressed his gratitude to Fr. Asoghig Jamgochian, the Parish Council and the Ladies’ Society, for their outstanding service to the Church. We gladly inform the faithful that the Sacramento Parish thrives despite the difficult situation in Sacramento –thanks to the joint efforts of the Parish Priest, and the organizations within the church. On February 27, 2008, the Women’s Saints Day church service was held at St. James Armenian Church in Sacramento. The Primate offered the opening prayer. Fr. Asoghig Jamgochian thanked His Eminence for visiting the parish. A Lenten Luncheon was held following the church service.
