Western Diocese

On February 21, 2008, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian paid a pastoral visit to St. Mary Armenian Church in Yettem, California. Dn. Grigor Avagyan and Mashdots Jobanian accompanied the Primate. The Primate presided over the Central California Ladies’ Societies meeting during which several important topics were discussed; namely the development of the improvement, collaboration and coordination between the Central California Ladies’ Societies as well as their mutual cooperation with the Western Diocese. The meeting afforded a distinct opportunity to the leading ladies of the several parishes to discuss their concerns with the Primate. Archpriest Fr. Vartan Kasparian, member of the Diocesan Council, the Pastor of St. Mary Armenian Church in Yettem, also serves as one of eight Chaplains in the Visalia Police Department.
