Primate’s Pastoral Visits to Central California Region

OnFriday, January 11, 2008, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese paid a pastoral visit to the Armenian Community in Reedley, California. The Primate met with the visiting pastors of Sts. Sahag-Mesrob Armenian Church, Archpriests Fr. Shahe Altounian and Fr. Kevork Arakelian. The next day, the Primate visited St. Paul Armenian Church in Fresno and met with the local clergy. Afterwards, the Primate presided over the Diocesan Council meeting. The Primate also met with the local ACYO, the Summer Camp and regional committees, as well as the Central California 80th Anniversary Committee. In the afternoon, the Primate met with the members of the local ACYO branches in the region. Primate to Celebrate Divine Liturgy at St. Paul, Fresno On Sunday, January 13, 2008, the Primate will celebrate the Divine Liturgy and offer the sermon at St. Paul Armenian Church of Fresno. Following the church service, a Christmas reception will be held at the Haig Berberian Hall of the Church.
