Western Diocese

On Sunday, November 4, 2007, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church presided over the Divine Liturgy at the St. James Armenian Church of Hollywood offered by Rev. Fr. Archpriest Manoog Markarian, and offered the sermon. The focal point of the Primate’s sermon was the following passage “[Jesus] replied to the man who told him, ‘Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?’ And stretching his toward his disciples, he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother, and sister, and mother” (Matthew 12:48-50).
