Western Diocese

His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese, departed Los Angeles on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, for Armenia to participate in the Supreme Spiritual Council Meeting, on March 6-8, 2008. His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, presided over the meeting. His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian has been appointed by His Holiness to form the International ACYO. The first assembly of the delegates of the Armenian Church Youth Organizations is scheduled to take place in July, 2008, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. On his way back home, His Eminence visited Amsterdam on March 9, 2008, and presided over the European ACYO Representatives’ meeting. The Primate returned to the Western Diocese in Burbank, California, on March 10, 2008.
