Western Diocese

The primate of the Western Diocese, Abp. Hovnan Derderian, for his first time celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Armenian Church of San Bernadino (Victorville) on July 1, 2007.

Hovnan Srpazan presided over the first Badarak during Easter of last year, April 16, 2006, as well as installed the Parish Council.  About 300 or more families live in the area of the mission parish.  We are pleased to announce that there are weekly Bible studies and Armenian language programs.  We look forward to the time when the mission parish will have a full-time priest who will bring the Armenian faithful together, to create a stronger and more beautiful Church.
