Western Diocese

On the morning of July 31^st, the Diocesan Mother Cathedral Building Committee Chairperson, Mr. Armen Hampar and His Eminence Abp. Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese attended the meeting of the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors.

The Honorable Michael Antonovich, Supervisor of the 5^th District, made a presentation to the board.

We are happy to announce that the Board of Supervisors gave a positive decision regarding the building of additional parking over the channel adjacent to the Diocese which is called the Burbank Western System Channel #211 and #212. According to the agreement, the overbuilt will be leased for 65 years and will be designated a County Flood Control District.

We are happy to announce that on October 2^nd, at 11:00am the Diocesan Mother Cathedral’s ground breaking will be officiated by His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.
