Women Saints’ Day Service

Published on Feb 29 2008 by Divan of the Diocese

On February 25, 2008, under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, the Women Saints’ Day Service was held at St. John Armenian Church in Hollywood, California. The Diocesan Ladies’ Auxiliary Committee (Southern Region) had organized the service and also participated in this spiritually fulfilling event. The Diocesan Clergy, members of the local Ladies’ Societies, as well as many faithful from the area participated in the Women Saints’ Day Service. A reception followed the church service, at which time the Primate spoke on the mission of the “oil-bearing women” (Matthew 28). The event also included an exhibition. Many of the participants expressed their thanks and appreciation to the St. John Armenian Church Ladies’ Society for hosting the event.
