Diocese participates in AGBU School Genocide Commemoration

Students approach the genocide monument to present flower in memory of the martyrs of the Armenian Genocide

O null n April 22, the Middle School students of Manoogian Demirdjian AGBU School commemorated the Armenian Genocide by visiting the Armenian Martyrs Monument in Montabello. Students presented flowers at the base of the memorial, and began their program by singing the Lords Prayer. Candidate to the Priesthood Dn. Matthew Ash, as a guest speaker, addressed the students, following which each grade recited poetry in honor of the martyrs. The program concluded with students singing Soorp Asdvadz, and the blessings of Archpriest Fr. Hovsep Hagopian.
