Evening Honoring 75th Birthday of Aram Sepetjian

On January 22, 2010, the Los Angeles Chapter of the Tekeyan Cultural Association organized an evening at the Glendale Public Library in honor of the 75th birthday of writer Aram Sepetjian.

The Primate joined by Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardemian, Vicar General, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Manoug Markarian, Parish Priest of St. John Garabed Armenian Church in Hollywood and Vicar of the Southern California region, as well as Rev. Archpriest Fr. Dr. Zaven Arzoumanian.

The Master of Ceremonies was the son of the honoree Hratch Sepetjian. Guest speakers included Mary Krisian and Minas Koyajian. With the request of the Primate, the AGBU, and the Tekeyan Cultural Association, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians bestowed upon Aram Sepetjian with the St. Sahag and St. Mesrob Medal.

The Primate congratulated the honoree Aram Sepetjian on this special occasion and commended him for his rich literary works. The Primate then awarded the above mentioned medal to Aram Sepetjian.

Aram Sepetjian, the honoree of the evening, expressed his gratitude to His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, for the honor, to His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian for his presence and blessings and to the Tekeyan Cultural Association and the AGBU for wonderfully organizing the event.
