Fr. Vazken Movsesian & 93rd Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide

Fr. Vazken Movsesian will be speaking and presenting programs at the following events organized in commemoration of the 93rd Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

·         April 4 – Burbank High School – to student and parent rally; 7PM

·         April 16 – Calabasas High School – student organized event highlighting cases of Genocide in response to the current situation in Darfur; 9AM

·         April 19 – Toll Middle School – student and parent memorial event at the St. Peter Youth Ministries Center; 11AM

·         April 20 – Armenian Church of Seattle – Topic: “Armenia and Rwanda: The first and last genocides of the 20th Century”; 1PM

·         April 22 – Glendale City College Armenian Student Association organized – Topic: “Armenia 1925 and Rwanda 2006: A decade after Genocide”; 12noon

·         April 23 – University of California, Los Angeles, Armenian Students Association organized rally for entire campus; 12noon

·         April 23 – Ecumenical gathering at St. Peter Youth Ministries’ Center with St. Mark Episcopal Church, Glendale – solemn prayer and remembrance; 7PM

·         April 24 – Glendale Adventist Hospital Commemoration for the staff, doctors and workers; 9:30AM

·         April 24 – University of Southern California Armenian Students Association organized rally for entire campus; 12noon

·         April 26 – 30 Hour Famine organized by In His Shoes Ministries to raise awareness and funds to end hunger in Genocide ridden countries. At Glendale City College, registration required.

·         April 27 – Victory Celebration at the Divine Liturgy, St. Peter Armenian Church & Youth Ministries Center, Glendale. Meet with famine participants and break the fast as the month of commemoration leads to new beginnings; 11AM
