Western Diocese

On December 29, 2009, His Excellency Armen Melkonyan, former Consul General of The Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles and current Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Egypt visited the Western Diocese.

Ashot Melkonyan, the father of Armen Melkonyan had recently passed away in Fresno, California. He was a respected and a famous artist and painter in Armenia. His Excellency visited the Primate to express his sincere appreciation for the condolences letter which the Primate had sent. Furthermore, he got acquainted with the construction efforts of the Cathedral and toured the construction site.
