Armenian Church of Crescenta Valley Prepares for Blessing and Dedication Ceremony

The community faithful of La Canada, La Crescenta and Tujunga are actively preparing for Saturday, August 11th as the day will officially mark the Blessing and Dedication ceremony (Navagadig/Trnpatsek) of the new property of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Crescenta Valley.

The spiritually enriching ceremony will take place on SATURDAY, AUGUST 11 at 7:30 p.m. The ceremony will be presided by His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America.

The church is located at 10154 MOUNTAIR AVE., TUJUNGA, CA 91042.

The property will consist of a church building, a kindergarten, Saturday and Sunday Schools, and a Youth Center. All faithful are invited to take part in this spiritually enriching ceremony.

First Divine Liturgy (Antranig Badarak)

And “Blessing of the Grapes”

On the following day, Sunday, August 12, (Feast of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God)

at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Fr. Avedis Abovian, Pastor of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Crescenta Valley, will celebrate the Divine Liturgy and deliver the day’s sermon. The traditional “Blessing of the Grapes” ceremony will follow the service.

All faithful are invited to participate in the solemn celebration of the Divine Liturgy on the Feast of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God.
