ASLA Hosts “The Immortals” Book Presentation
On July 20, 2012, the Armenian Society of Los Angeles (ASLA) hosted Alice Navasargian’s newest book presentation. The event was held at the ASLA Headquarters in Glendale and attracted a large audience of over 400 people. His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America attended the event accompanied by Archpriest Fr. Hovsep Hagopian.
Hermine Janoyan emceed the exciting program. Sergey Arustamyan, communications director of the Western Diocese read congratulatory letters from scholars, researchers, historians and other prominent leaders addressed to the Alice Navasargian on the occasion of the release of her latest book. “The Immortals” was presented by Hayk Madoyan, Librarian and Ecumenical Officer of the Western Diocese, who reflected on the wealth of information contained in the educational book.
“The historical information contained in Alice Navasargian’s “The Immortals” highlights the author’s dedication to meticulous research and her will to introduce to the world the history of our homeland and the innumerable contributions of Armenians and Iranian-Armenians. We commend your unrelenting commitment and your affection for Armenia and her people,” said His Eminence in his closing remarks.
