Primate's Heartfelt Call to Action - Lets Give All Our Children a Secure Childhood

For almost two decades, “Etchmiadzin Children’s Fund,” a sponsorship program in its 18th year, pursues a most divine and God pleasing task, namely to assist orphans and needy children of Armenia. These disadvantaged yet brilliant children are unprepared to face life’s challenges for they become dependent upon the bits of charity and benevolence.
Under the leadership of its directors, the Etchmiadzin Children’s Fund expanded its outreach program and increased the number of potentially sponsored children. The passion of the ECF committee has certainly helped increase awareness of the needs of these children. However, in recent years, we have seen a steady decline in the number of actual sponsors.
This fact is a cause of great concern and uneasiness. “He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed” (Proverbs 19:17). Through our kind deeds we inspire those who surround us while acknowledging and honoring those who are deserving of the honor. Rightfully, “he who is kind to the needy, honors God” (Proverbs 14:31). What could be more enriching than honoring the All Merciful, the All Benevolent and Almighty God, our Heavenly Father?
Many of the faithful have heard the saying of our Lord and Savior, “And whoever gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he shall not lose his reward” (Matthew 10:42). However, only a few have realized and acted upon the call of Christ, our Lord.
We know that you share our concern and Christian values. Therefore, we turn to you and ask for your contribution to this noble mission. For only $1/day, ($365/year) you can give a child the necessities of life by providing hope for a better future. Please remember that the support we provide to needy children will be repaid by the blessings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
