CYMA Departs for Armenia, Over 100 Youth Have Experienced Armenia Through Diocesan Program

On Wednesday, June 30, the Christian Youth Mission to Armenia departs for their one month long pilgrimage to the Motherland. This will mark the 7th year that the mission, established under the leadership of Diocesan Primate Abp. Hovnan Derderian, will bring youth from the Western Diocese to experience their Ancestral Homeland and discover their faith.

Primate’s Official Summer Camp Visits to Include Blessings of Khatchkars

With the 2010 Western Diocese Summer Camp program close to beginning, Archbishop Hovnan Derderian has announced the dates of his official visits. It is also with spiritual joy that the Diocese announces that on July 26 the Primate will also conduct the blessing of a khatchkar or cross-stone.

Become a Permanent Part of Camp with the New Buy-a-Brick Campaign

The Western Diocese is proud to announce that the Western Diocese Summer Camp Board has introduced a new program entitled the "Buy-a-Brick campaign." A fun and lasting way for the faithful to make a reasonable contribution to the improvement of the Camp property as well as become part of Camp history.

CYMA Status Report

On January 23rd, CYMA held a very successful informational meeting at the Diocese headquarters in Burbank. Armine Semirdjian delivered a coherent presentation of this year’s trip and mission in front of an enthusiastic group of young adults and engaged parents. As a result of this meeting, CYMA now has a total of 5 committed participants, which leaves a total of 7 remaining spots.

News from ACYO

The Central Council of the ACYO-WD is proud to announce four new chapters that have formed throughout the state of California: Santa Clarita, St. John San Francisco Senior ACYO, Rancho Mirage, and St. Andrew Cupertino. We have met with all of these chapters and are thrilled to see the eagerness and excitement in their eyes to create active ACYO members for their specific regions.
