80th Anniversary Celebrations

It is with immense joy that we are informing our Armenian faithful about the upcoming events dedicated to the 80th Anniversary of the establishment of the Western Diocese. The 80th Anniversary is the reminder of the birth of the Western Diocese. The 80th Anniversary is the challenge for the renewal of our vocation and calling in service of the Western Diocese. The 80th Anniversary becomes more meaningful through our participation.
CELEBRATIONS IN THE GREATER LOS ANGELES AREA
September 15, 2007 - The Primate of the Archdiocese of the Episcopal Church, the Most
Reverend Bishop John Bruno, will be hosting a special religious service and reception in honor of the 80th Anniversary.
September 16, 2007 – A cultural event will be held at the Alex Theater in Glendale.
October 2, 2007 – A Gala Banquet will be held at the Taghlian Cultural Center at St. John Garabed Armenian Church in Hollywood, presided by His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.
December 2, 2007 – A Solemn Badarak will mark the culmination of the 80th Anniversary Celebrations at St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church of Pasadena.
CELEBRATIONS IN THE CENTRAL VALLEY
June 30, 2007 – A Youth Retreat will be held at St. Gregory Armenian Church of Fowler.
July 28, 2007 - An Adult Retreat will be held at St. Mary’s Armenian Church of Yettem.
August 19 2007 – A Divine Liturgy will be held with the participation of all the Central Valley Area churches at St. Paul Armenian Church in Fresno. An official gala banquet will be held following the church service.
CELEBRATIONS IN THE BAY AREA
September 20, 2007 – A day Retreat will be held in the Bay Area.
September 23, 2007 – A Badarak will be held at St. John Armenian Church in San Francisco.
