Western Diocese

The 82^nd Diocesan Assembly convened for its third and last meeting on Saturday, May 2, 2009, starting at 9:00 AM, at St. James Armenian Church of Los Angeles. The meeting began with religious prayers and Bible readings. The Primate asked the audience to jointly sing "DER VOGHORMIA" for one of the Senior Diocesan Clergy, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Vartan Dulgarian, who had just passed away.

Adrienne Krikorian, Chair of the 82^nd Diocesan Assembly, announced that a quorum was reached and the 82^nd Diocesan Assembly proceeded with the annual elections.

The following officers were elected during the 82^nd Diocesan Assembly elections:

Diocesan Council Meeting

After the elections, the Diocesan Council convened for a brief meeting to hold the internal elections of its officers. His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate, presided over the meeting. The results are indicated below:
