Banquet Honoring Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister of Armenia

The USC Institute of Armenian Studies, on Friday, October 19, 2007, at 7:00 p.m., hosted a special banquet in honor of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian attended the meeting and delivered remarks during this significant event.Â

Dr. Richard Dekmejian offered the opening remarks. Honorable Tatoul Markaryan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia, greeted the Prime Minister. Mr. Harut Sassounian introduced the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister in his remarks stressed the new achievements of the Republic of Armenia and the future programs and developments. His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian was accompanied by Mr. & Mrs. Joseph & Karine Kanimian.

The Primate in his benediction spoke of the Prime Minister’s dedication and service to the cause of Armenia’s bright future, asking God to bless him with more strength to fulfill the mission. The Primate thanked God for the good faith and collaboration that existed between the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church and the Armenian Government.
