Published on Jan 04 2008 by Divan of the Diocese
On January 2, 2008, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, accompanied by the Vicar General of the Western Diocese, Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardemian and several other distinguished clergy, presided over the Blessing of Water Ceremony, symbolizing the baptism of our Lord Jesus Christ, at Mission Hills Ararat Home.
The Primate, in his New Year and Nativity message to the residents of the Mission Hills Ararat Home, wished the elderly residents and the staff health and wellbeing in the New Year. Afterwards, the Primate and his entourage participated in a luncheon with the elderly residents at the center.
The Elderly residents and staff members expressed their appreciation for the Primate’s visit and for his comforting words in the beginning of the New Year.
Under the auspices of the Western Diocese, the Divine Liturgy is celebrated regularly by Fr. Tavit Zelveyan, every Sunday, starting at 10:30 a.m., at the Mission Hills Ararat Home.
