Western Diocese

On Saturday, 20 January 2007 a Requiem Service for the Unborn was held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels of the Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. His Eminence Cardinal Roger Mahony, Archbishop of Los Angeles was the principal celebrant. During the ceremony, 154 candles were lit honoring the lives lost to abortion on that day in the County of Los Angeles. His Eminence Cardinal Roger Mahony expressed his gratitude to the ecumenical guests for their participation and for standing united in support of this important cause. Representing His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian and the Western Diocese was Very Rev. Fr. Baret Dz. V. Yeretzian accompanied by Deacon Matthew Ash and Deacon Mkrtich Ksachikyan.
