Diocese Participates in Episcopal Pro-Cathedral Dedication
Published on Feb 08 2008 by Divan of the Diocese
On Saturday, February 2, 2008 Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Yardemian represented the Primate at the dedication of St. John’s Episcopal Church of Los Angeles as the Pro-Cathedral for the Episcopal Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Fr. Dajad was accompanied by Dn. Matthew Ash and Dn. Arsen Hayrapetyan.
In this festive ceremony the Rt. Rev. Bishop Jon Bruno was seated in the sanctuary, thereby dedicating it as the Liturgical Cathedral for the sprawling Episcopal Archdiocese. In his remarks he emphasized that St. John’s Cathedral would become a liturgical center that would benefit the Church’s faithful through worship and education.
The Western Diocese celebrates this milestone with their brothers and sisters in Christ of the Episcopal Church, and is committed to continue seeking opportunities for ecumenical cooperation.
