Guest Clergy Visit Western Diocese

His Grace Bishop Bagrat Galstanian, Primate of the Diocese of Canada, and Fr. Hovhanes Hovhanesyan, Vicar General of the Diocese of Artsakh and Abbot of Gandzasar Monastery, visited the Western Diocese. On January 31, 2008, the Primate of the Diocese of Canada met with His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese. Later in the evening, the two Primates participated in the St. Vartan Day event which was held at the Western Diocese.
Upon the invitation of the Primate, Fr. Hovhanes Hovhanesyan celebrated Divine Liturgy and delivered the sermon at St. Peter Armenian Church of Glendale, California, on Sunday, January 27, 2008. And on January 29, 2008, the Reverend Father participated in the St. Gevont and His Companions Day Clergy Gathering at St. John Armenian Church in Hollywood. The Reverend Father celebrated Divine Liturgy and delivered the sermon at St. James Armenian Church of Los Angeles, on February 3, 2008.
Fr. Ktrij Devejian, from Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, also paid a visit to the Western Diocese in the month of January of this year. On Sunday, January 27, 2008, the guest clergy celebrated Divine Liturgy and delivered the sermon at St. Paul Armenian Church in Fresno. On St. Vartan Day, the Reverend Father celebrated Divine Liturgy and delivered the sermon at St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church in Fowler, California.
