Southern California Regional Meeting

On Saturday, February 16, 2008, the Primate presided over the Southern California Regional Meeting. Improvement of coordination and interrelations between the Western Diocese and several Parishes were the main topic discussed during the meeting.
Parish Pastors, Parish Council Chairs, Treasurers and Diocesan Delegates from the Southern California region were invited to this meeting. The Vicar General of the Western Diocese, Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardermian, read an excerpt from one of the letters of Apostle John about Christian love. The Primate offered his words of wisdom on the subject of Christian love, service and dedication and its crucial importance in the life of the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church.
Dn. Barlow Der Mugrdechian, Chairman of the Diocesan Council, conducted the meeting. Construction of the Mother Cathedral as well as the progress of student priesthood-candidates were some of the topics discussed at this meeting.
Several Parish representatives briefed the council on the situation at their respected parishes. The Primate responded to the questions raised by the participants at the meeting. A reception followed the meeting.
