Western Diocese

We are pleased to inform that on November 7, 2009, the Primate presided over the 7^th Association of Armenian Church Choirs of the Western Diocese (AACCWD) at St. Mary Armenian Church in Costa Mesa.  During the meeting, the Primate appointed Rev. Archpriest Fr. Nareg Matarian to the position of Musical Director of the Western Diocese. Furthermore, Fr. Nareg Matarian will be in charge of the Deacons of the Western Diocese.

The newly elected Central Committee Members are Dn. Ari Demiral, Elize Tashjian, Alenoush Yeghnazar, Marian Derderian, Manik Manukyan who were elected respectively as Chair, Vice-Chair, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary and Treasurer. Other members included Dn. Nishan Chadergian, Dn. Ara Dakessian, Dn. Jeff Hazarian, Dn. Ara Dakessian, Vasken Azizian, Linda Lester and Dn. Ben Krikorian.  

On Saturday, December 12, 2009 the AACCWD held its first Central Council meeting at the Western Diocese. It was presided over by the Primate and was chaired by Dn. Ari Demiral. Musical Director Rev. Archpriest Fr. Nareg Matarian and the members discussed the plans for next year. Rev. Archpriest Fr. Nareg Matarian explained the important programs of the following year. The Primate blessed the members and expressed his sincere appreciation for their dedication.
