ABMDR Board of Directors Visit Western Diocese
Published on Jan 29 2010 by Divan of the Diocese
On January 27, 2010, the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry (ABMDR) Board of Directors led by Frieda Jordan, Ph.D., President, visited the Primate at the Western Diocese. The twelve members presented the 2010 ABMDR schedule to the Primate.
The Primate welcomed their presence, commended their dedication to the mission, and ensured them that the Western Diocese will support the programs of the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry as it has traditionally.
The Primate offered to dedicate a special Evening of Prayer at the Western Diocese for the souls of those people who passed away while waiting for their bone marrow transplant. This Evening of Prayer will strengthen the faith and reawaken the humanitarian spirit of those who will be present.
Dr. Frieda Jordan expressed her appreciation to the Primate for his exemplary support of the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry and reflected on her trip to Armenia and her pilgrimage to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
In February 2010, the Armenian Bone Marrow Registry will celebrate its 10th Anniversary.
