Western Diocese

Later in the afternoon, on April 29, 2009, the Diocesan Clergy attended a gathering at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Arpi Barsam. During the gathering, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian praised Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Arpi Barsam for their many years of dedicated service to the Church.  Joseph Kanimian, Esq., Chair of the Diocesan Council, and Dr. Vahram Biricik were among the guests present at the gathering.

Mr. Barsam receives an icon from the Primate Rev. Archpriest Fr. Arshag Khatchadourian, Pastor of St. James Armenian Church in Los Angeles, also expressed his high regards for the involvement of the exemplary couple in the life of the Church, especially their devoted service at St. James, Los Angeles.

The gathering was dedicated to the Stewardship Program of the Western Diocese. Dn. Dr. Sarkis Mesrobian, Chair of St. James Parish Council, on behalf of the church in Los Angeles, pledged $10,000.00 to the Stewardship Program of the Western Diocese.
