Western Diocese

On March 23, 2010, under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate, and the organizational efforts of the USC Student Body, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Sarkis Petoyan and the members of the Parish Council of St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church in Pasadena, a book presentation was held by author Dn. Kevork Panoyan.

Dn. Kevork Panoyan is a long-time Deacon of the Western Diocese. His new book is entitled "The melody grouping of the Hymns (Sharagans) of the Armenian Apostolic Church." It was presented by Rev. Archpriest Fr. Dr. Zaven Arzoumanian who commended the author for wonderfully organizing and presenting the melodious hymns of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

His Eminence Archbishop Yeprem Tabakian, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Sarkis Petoyan and Dn. Dr. Hrayr Dekmejian (on behalf of USC) added their remarks about Dn. Kevork Panoyan's wonderful achievement. Dn. Hagop Gagosian, a member of the Choir, sang beautiful hymns.

Dn. Vahe Charkhoudian gladly introduced Dn. Kevork Panoyan to the guests. In turn, Dn. Panoyan expressed his gratitude to the Primate for his support and to Archbishop Yeprem Tabakian, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Dr. Zaven Arzoumanian, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Sarkis Petoyan and to the USC organizing committee.

A reception followed the book presentation and the guests personally congratulated Dn. Kevork Panoyan on his creative achievement.
