Western Diocese

On April 15, 2010, under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, the Western Diocese held a Memoriam Evening in honor of the 95^th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. On this occasion, famous author Dr. Hovhannes Ahmaranian also presented his book entitled "Turkey Has Recognized the Armenian Genocide."

The host of the evening was Rev. Archpriest Fr. Sipan Mekhsian, Chancellor. The Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardemian, Vicar General, Very Rev. Fr. Baret Dz. V. Yeretzian, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Dr. Zaven Arzoumanian, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Hovsep Hagopian, Rev. Fr. Mampre Kasabyan and members of the Diaconate were also present at the book presentation.

In his closing remarks, the Vicar General congratulated Dr. Ahmaranian for his wonderful work in the field of Armenian Genocide recognition. The evening concluded with a reception honoring Dr. Hovhannes Ahmaranian.
