Western Diocese of the Armenian Church

On July 13, 2012, members of the Executive Body of the Iraqi Armenian Association, led by Chairman Khachig Janoyan, visited the Headquarters of the Western Diocese and met with Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian.

Janoyan briefed His Eminence of the upcoming events planned by the Iraqi-Armenian Association. In turn, Archbishop Derderian extended his blessings and noted the valuable service of the association rendered to the Armenian community.

Under the auspices of Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, the Iraqi-Armenian community is preparing to honor His Eminence Archbishop Avak Assadourian with an official celebration of Archbishop Assadourian’s 70^th birthday, the 35^th anniversary of his ordination and consecration into the Priesthood as well as the 30^th anniversary of his ordination and consecration to the rank of Bishop.
