Western Diocese

On January 23, 2010, the Primate presided over the first Christian Education Council Meeting of 2010 at the Western Diocese. The meeting was chaired by the newly-elected Mrs. Debbie Derderian.

The meeting commenced with the Primate's opening prayer. Moreover, he presented the Christian educational activities within the Western Diocese. The chair of the committee introduced the new members of the committee and explained their roles and responsibilities.

The committee reviewed the 2010 drafted schedule. During the meeting, the members discussed about the preparation courses of the Sunday school teachers (June 24 through July 26), and their respective topics. These special topics will be taught as part of the Sananhin Program. The members decided to include some changes to the Sunday school programs.    

The Christian Education Council was established by the Primate to structure and develop the Christian educational programs for the benefit of the future generations of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America.
