Patriarch Pavle, the leader of the Serbian Orthodox Church, passed away on Sunday, November 15. He was 95 years old.

Patriarch Pavle, who served as the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church for almost two decades, was known for his efforts to bring peace to the Balkans during the 1990s ethnic conflicts, and for the rebuilding of the church in the post-Communist era.

His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, has issued a letter of condolence to the Serbian Church. On behalf of the Armenian Church, he expressed sorrow on this occasion and offered prayers for the Serbian people.
