It is with deep sorrow that we inform the faithful of the passing of Mrs. Marguerite Hovsepian. Marguerite was the wife of the late Alfred Hovsepian. The Hovsepians were the co-founders of the Alfred and Marguerite Hovsepian School of St Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Apostolic Church in Pasadena, where Marguerite attended many commencement services over 28 years. Their donations also resulted in the Hovsepian Library at St Vartan's Oakland, where she enjoyed singing in the choir.  Marguerite passed away in her residence in Cloverdale on July 30, 2012. She was 96.

The “Church Service” (Yegeghetsvo Gark) will be held on Tuesday, August 7 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vartan Armenian Church in Oakland, CA. With the assistance of Archpriest Fr. Mousegh Tashjian, Archpriest Fr. Sarkis Petoyan and Rev. Fr. Hovel Ohanyan, the Primate will preside over the service.
