Western Diocese

The census is a count of everyone residing in the United States including citizens and non-citizens. This information is gathered every ten years and determines the number of seats each state will have in the United States House of Representatives and the boundaries for the state and local legislative and congressional districts.

On January 20, 2010, the Primate joined by Burbank Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Khajag Shahbazyan, Western Diocese Executive Director Harout Markarian attended the Open House of the Burbank Local Census Office. During the meeting, the Primate offered a special prayer and expressed his best wishes to the Burbank census team.
