Western Diocese

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Alyce Dorian visited the Western Diocese on August 6, 2008, and met with His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate. During their visit, the elderly couple assisted by Diocesan staff-members toured the facility. Meanwhile, they met with Mr. Harout Markarian, Executive Director, Archpriest Fr. Sipan Mekhsian, Chancellor, as well as other Diocesan staff-members.

The Office of the Western Diocese expresses its appreciation to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Alyce Dorian for their generous donation towards the long overdue renovation and refurbishment of the Chancellor’s office.

This was not the first time that Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Alyce Dorian generously stepped forward to help with important office-projects in the Western Diocese, necessary for the timely and professional execution as well as smooth flow of the work-load at the Diocesan level. Thanks to this generous couple not so long ago the Western Diocese was able to construct its Computer Lab – dedicated in memory of the donors’ parents: Khatchadourians and Ahramjians. This critical expansion of office space and facility has been tremendously important to the ever expanding operational scope and level of professionalism at the Western Diocese.
