New Assignments at Western Diocese

- Upon the instruction of His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Fr. Avedis Abovian, Youth Director of the Western Diocese, will serve as the celebrant priest for the Armenian Church of the Northern Sierra Region, based in Carson City, Nevada, on the first Sunday of each month until such a time when a permanent pastor is assigned to the parish.
- Priesthood candidate/student Dn. Arsen Hayrapetyan is appointed by the Primate to serve as Deacon-In-Charge of the Armenian Churches of Santa Clarita (Valencia) and Antelope Valley (Palmdale).
- Priesthood candidate Dn. Martin Zakarian is assigned as priest-assistant to Fr. Mesrob Sarafian, Pastor of St. Vartan Armenian Church of Oakland (California) and will resume his theological education at Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley.
- Priesthood Candidate Dn. Guzh Khachikyan, a graduate of Gevorkian Seminary, who has recently arrived from Armenia and joined the Diocesan staff, will resume his theological education in the United States.
