On Palm Sunday, Parish Priest Rev. Archpriest Fr. Nareg Matarian celebrated the Divine Liturgy and delivered the sermon in the Armenian Church of La Verne. Many faithful from the former St. Sarkis Parish of East Los Angeles were present for the Palm Sunday service.

Rev. Archpriest Fr. Nareg Matarian reflected on the story when Jesus cleansed the Temple. Archpriest Fr. Nareg explained that the Temple is man, himself while the traders inside the temple are the sins of mankind. When Jesus cleansed the Temple, He also cleansed the sins of mankind.

The Sunday School children read the sacrament of the Holy Communion which was distributed to the parishioners.

The Palm Sunday service concluded with a reception prepared by the Ladies Society of the Parish.
