Paparigian Pavilion Cabin Hill program

The Primate’s visit was also highlighted by the completion of the Paparigian Pavilion Cabin Hill program. The Paparigian Foundation in addition to funding the Pavilion Cabin Hill program, has generously sponsored participation of several of our youngsters from different parishes in the Western Diocese Summer Camp.

Thanks to the Z. Victor and Marion V. Paparigian Foundation, campers this year were delighted by the new look and feel of the Paparigian Pavilion on Cabin Hill at Hye Camp. Architect Mike Geragos designed the project, at his firm’s own expense, to promote informal gathering in a natural setting for our youth. The area was big hit with campers this year with artistic benches to “hang out” on, a grassy knoll and variety of newly planted trees that blend in with surrounding nature and which will provide shade for years to come.

The Paparigian Foundation wishes to extend thanks to all the volunteers, who literally “lent a hand” in building the project. They are: Alan Farsakian, Pierre Jahjah, Chris Kazanjian, Zaven Paparigian, Bob Derderian, Johnny Yaldezian, Chuck Simonian and Mike Geragos. Special thanks to Janelle Wolters for all her cooking during construction and to Silva Zenian of IDS and Geoff Clark of Park West Landscape for their project management.
