Western Diocese

On February 13, 2010, on the eve of the Presentation of the Lord to the Temple, His Grace Bishop Bagrat Galstanian, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Canada led the "Dyarnuntarach" service at St. Peter Armenian Church in Van Nuys. Rev. Archpriest Fr. Shnork Demirjian, Parish Priest, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Nareg Matarian and Rev. Archpriest Fr. Dr. Zaven Azroumanian were also present for the service.

In his sermon, His Grace Bishop Bagrat Galstanian informed the faithful that His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians has dedicated the Feast Day of "Dyarnuntarach" to newlywed couples.

Following the service, the clergymen and the faithful with candles in their hands gathered in the yard of St. Peter and remembered the true "Light," Christ our Lord.
