President of Woodbury University Visits Western Diocese

On July 3, 2012, Dr. Luis Calingo, 13th President of Woodbury University, paid his first official visit to the Western Diocese and met with Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Diocesan Primate. Dr. Calingo was accompanied by Mr. George Aba, member of the Woodbury University Board of Trustees and Mr. Brian Flynn, Director of Development. Rev. Fr. Vazken Movsesian also participated in the meeting.
Led by the Primate, the distinguished guests toured St. Leon Armenian Cathedral. Dr. Luis Calingo has been appointed as Woodbury President upon the retirement of President Kenneth R. Nielsen, effective July 1, 2012.
