Primate Calls on Faithful to participate in Armenia Fund Telethon
Published on Nov 20 2009 by Divan of the Diocese
Armenia Fund has become a new blessing in the life of the contemporary Armenian people throughout the world as a unifying ground where they become one through charity and care for Armenia and Artsakh.
It is our sincere wish that our beloved faithful in the Western Diocese along with our brothers and sisters throughout the world would cheerfully give to the Armenia Fund through their participation in the telethon on the joyous Day of Thanksgiving, thus becoming instruments of God in helping Armenia and Artsakh to continue to thrive and glow in peace and prosperity as a testimony of the Love of God and faith of our forefathers.
On the Day of Thanksgiving 2009, we will have the opportunity to extend our helping hand and contribute to the reviving of the city of Shushi. Among the honorable participants in this glorious event will be His Excellency Grigor Hovhannissian, Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles, His Eminence Archbishop Barkev Mardirossian, Primate of the Diocese of Artsakh.
Open your hearts and give, for "you will be enriched in every way for great generosity, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God; for the rendering of this service not only supplies the wants of the saints but also overflows in many thanksgiving to God" (2 Corinth. 11-12).
