Primate Celebrates Divine Liturgy and Delivers Sermon at Sts. Sahag-Mesrob Armenian Church, Reedley

On July 18, 2010, the Primate paid a pastoral visit to Sts. Sahag-Mesrob Armenian Church in Reedley, California. He celebrated the Divine Liturgy and delivered an inspirational sermon. He was assisted at the holy altar by Archpriest Frs. Shahe Altounian and Kevork Arakelian.
Archpriest Frs. Shahe Altounian and Kevork Arakelian are the assigned visiting priests who celebrate the Divine Liturgy at Sts. Sahag- Mesrob twice a month.
Following the service, a reception was held at the church hall. The Primate also met with the members of the Parish Council.
While on his pastoral visit to Reedley, the Primate also paid a special visit to Archpriest Fr. Artoon Sempadian in Madera, California.
We are pleased to inform you that this year marks the 60th anniversary of Archpriest Fr. Artoon Sempadian's ordination and consecration into Priesthood. Upon the Primate's request and in recognition of his dedicated service, in May 2010, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians sent a Pontifical Message of Blessing and Commendation to Archpriest Fr. Artoon Sempadian.
